Bunny Checklist

There are several essential items you need to raise a happy, healthy rabbit.
Hutch - This is absolutely essential if you plan to keep your rabbit outdoors as they provide shelter and a place to sleep.

Meadow Hay - Rabbits should have access to hay at all times. Meadow hay is the most important part of your bunny's diet and is essential to keep the digestive tract in good working order.

Litter Tray and Rabbit Safe Litter - The best litter tray to use is a large scatterless corner tray, to prevent rabbits from digging the litter out.  For litter use either Recycled Paper Litters or Compressed Sawdust Pellets. Don't use any pine shavings or cedar wood shavings or any clumping litters as all are very dangerous.

Pellets - Lucerne Pellets provide your pet with a nutritionally balanced diet with added Vitamin C, an essential ingredient for Rabbits.

Soft Slicker Brush
- Needed to remove dead and loose hair that rabbits will ingest if not brushed.

Mineral Stones and Salt Licks
- Mineral Stones and Salt Licks are an excellent source of salts and minerals essential to rabbits. They provide the same natural minerals that your pets would
find in their natural habitat.

Chew Toys
- Chewing is a natural behaviour that allows rabbits to keep their teeth trimmed. This interactive chewing activity also helps provide entertainment and relieves anxiety.

Food Bowl, Hay Manger and Water Bottle - This is a fairly obvious one, look for a very heavy ceramic bowl or crock to put your rabbits food in. A hay manger is another essential item as it provides clean and unsoiled hay for your rabbit to eat. You'll also need a water bottle, preferably a glass one, which can be hung on the rabbit hutch for constant access to water.
